Very easy. Most sites can be setup in a matter of just a few hours. We recommend first getting your core site setup and up on the Internet. Then enhance and refine your site based on competitive analysis and feedback from your customers.

Yes, every account includes hosting and unlimited access to your site design and management console.

The trial period lasts 10 days. This gives you plenty of time to explore the service and get your site started.

Can I cancel service at any time?
Yes, after you activate your account it can be cancelled at any time. There is no long-term contract to sign. You can go to the My Account link in your admin for more information

Can I have my own domain name such as www.mycompany.com?
Yes, domain hosting is included with each account. If you have already purchased a domain elsewhere, you can change it to be hosted on our systems or you can register a new domain for your site from within your site management console.

Do I get email accounts?
Yes, each account includes everything you need to communicate with your customers. This includes POP3 email accounts, mail forwarding, email aliases and auto-responders.

Can I upgrade my site if I need additional features?
Yes. You can upgrade your site at any time. Simply go to the Admin tab, select Your Account, then Upgrade Plan. The details for each plan is available there.

If I already have a domain name can I use it on my site?
Yes. All you will need to do is setup the DNS servers at your domain registrar to point to our systems once you have an active accouunt with us. Information for doing this is located within the site manager.

Can I change my site design at any time?
Yes, you are never locked into the design that you start with. You can change the entire look of you site by going to the design center.

Can I customize the colors of my site?
Yes, our system enables you to customize each and every color in the system. Unlike most site design services, with Create A Website you are not limited to any pre defined color schemes or combinations. Once you have your site created, use our color designer to make your own scheme.

How do I upload images and my company logo?
To upload your logo or graphic all you need to do is be logged into your site editor. For images, click the edit page button and then add. Select image and choose the upload option. To upload your logo, choose design and then title. Click the title image and upload your logo.

How many pages can I create?
If your plan allows for unlimited pages, there is no limit to the number that you can create (subject to disk space allowances). If your plan does not have unlimited pages, simply upgrade and you are ready to go.

Does your ecommerce site include a shopping cart?
Yes, each Create A Website store includes everything you need to setup an online store. Each store includes a product catalog, integrated shopping cart, secure checkout and online order management.

Does your shopping cart include a merchant account?
We do not provide a merchant account with your store. If you already have a merchant account, contact your merchant account provider to find out if it will integrate with your store.

In addition to the shopping cart we provide you with a complete ecommerce admin environment. This includes a customer database, order history, order reports, product import, and full export capabilities.

What is a merchant account?
A merchant account is a special bank account that enables you to accept credit cards.

How do I setup my site to accept credit cards?
A merchant account is a required to accept credit cards. The first step is to obtain a merchant account. If you choose, you can signup for a merchant account or if you have an existing account you can have that one setup for your store as well. To process transactions online you must have an account with an internet credit card processing gateway. We support all the main processing gateways (Authorize.net, Link Point and Verisign) and many others are also available. Check with your merchant account provider to see which gateways they can support.

Do I have to have a merchant account and gateway to setup my store?
No, our stores can be used with a wide variety of payment methods such as PayPal. You can also setup a store to take orders and then bill your customers with a printed invoice from our system. Either way each store is fully equipped to process and collect orders for your products.

Is your shopping cart secure?
Yes. We utilize SSL throughout the checkout process to ensure that a customers personal information is always encrypted. Viewing order details from within your store is also done through an encrypted SSL link. Also, all credit card information is kept encrypted on the server.

Yes, you can link from your website to a store hosted on our systems.

We support all of the major gateways. This includes Authorize.net, Verisign PayFlow Pro, Linkpoint API. The complete list is available within the Store tab, Payment Methods screen of the site manager.

Yes. You can use PayPal to process orders if you have a PayPal account.

How do I setup a product search box?
If the product search box is available in your plan, go to the page you want to add search to and select the Add, Store, Product Search Box. If it is not available in your plan, contact support for information on how to have it added to your site.
