WEBSITE BUILDER NEWS AND FEATURE UPDATES
Friday, October 17 2014

Earlier this week Google posted an update about a security vulnerability with SSLv3. The new vulnerability enables attackers to decode encrypted connections.

Google calls this the POODLE (Padding Oracle On Downgraded Legacy Encryption) attack.

Today we are starting the process of disabling SSLv3 support on all of our systems.

Impact: A very small percentage of site visitors with older, out of date browsers may see errors when trying to make a SSL connections. The biggest impact is with Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP or older.

SSLv3 is nearly 18 years old. All modern web browsers support newer, more secure versions of SSL.
